 OVERVIEW

More and more carving and wildlife shows are adding the
"Cocktail Class" to their competitions, therefore the cocktail
decoy is fast becoming a highly prized collectable. To be a
cocktail decoy, the duck must be no more than 3 1/2" long,
and must float in a 4 1/2" cocktail glass. The student will make
a "slick" version, or one without burned-in detail, with the
primary wing feathers inserted and the head partially carved
as a separate piece and 'posed'. Painting is done with a brush,
so be sure to bring along your best liner brushes and a
 good pair of eyes.
